This dialog is used to select and configure names of geometry objects when importing geometry data from external sources, such as the "Import Foreign Scene Geometry" and "Import DXF Geometry" menu points.
The table lists the modifier names of all geometry primitives found in the input data. The columns of the table have the following meaning:
Nr:
The running number of each entry. This number has no
consequence, and is only included for convenience.
Object
The name of the object found. An object is composed
by all geometry primitives that share the same modifier
name. In the standard case, this will be the name
of the layer as found in a DXF file with the prefix "l_".
Import
If this checkbox is selected for an object, then it will
be imported into the project, otherwise it will be ignored.
The default is to import all objects.
Replace / Append
This selection only matters if there is already an object
of that name present in the current project. In that case,
an object with "Replace" selected will overwrite the
existing object, data with "Append" selected will be written
at the end of the old object file, so that the old and
new data will both be combined as a result.
Add to Variation
If this checkbox is selected, then the object in question
will be added to the current variation. If it doesn't exist
there yet, then it will be assigned the "default_material",
otherwise, the previously assigned material will remain
unchanged.
There three pairs of buttons below the table provide a convenient way to select and unselect specific options for all the objects in the table together.
